I’m Upinder Sahota Khan and this is my path from burnout to balance…
I spent many years in the corporate world—from investment firms to health-tech startups—while navigating the growing demands of work, family, and the endless to-do list. As a working mom, the mental load kept increasing, and it began taking a toll on my health.
Without the tools to manage stress, regulate my emotions, or support my own well-being, the pressure eventually caught up with me. I spiraled into burnout, which showed up as anxiety, chronic fatigue, and adrenal dysfunction.
I sought support from medical and holistic providers, and each played an important role. Over time, I discovered that integrating evidence-informed mindfulness and mind–body practices alongside medical and therapeutic care helped me better understand how chronic stress was affecting my body and nervous system — and supported my path out of burnout.
How I found clarity…
At the time, I didn’t fully understand how strongly the mind influences the body—how chronic stress, unprocessed emotions, and a survival-mode mindset can manifest physically.
As I strengthened my awareness, I began recognizing the thought patterns, emotional habits, and stress responses that kept me in burnout—and learned how to work with them instead of against them.
Slowly, I began to rebuild my balance and noticed meaningful changes in my daily life:
- Being more present with family & friends
- Increased clarity and focus
- Lower anxiety and stress
- Greater calm, emotional balance and self-awareness
- Improved ability to recognize early signs of stress and respond with intention
- Prioritize meaningful self care
- Feeling more connected, grounded, and aligned in how I moved through the world

I’m now a Mindfulness & Resilience Educator specializing in stress reduction and well-being. I support individuals and organizations using evidence-informed mindfulness practices, mind-body awareness, and practical tools that help regulate the nervous system, reduce stress, and build resilience.
My approach integrates:

- Energy awareness to support mind-body alignment
- Grounded, accessible tools that fit real life
As a Reiki Energy Wellness Practitioner, I focus on identifying where stress and emotional tension show up in the body and helping clients create awareness, clarity, and balance. My work combines mindfulness, somatic awareness, and gentle energetic techniques to provide practical insight into patterns affecting well-being.
I believe that when individuals create consistent space for themselves—mentally, emotionally, and energetically—they gain the clarity, capacity, and resilience to lead their lives with intention.
When we understand the root causes of our stress and learn how to work with them,
we strengthen our well-being from the inside out.
